Companion Care Aide Job Description

• Assists clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, and mobility. 
• Accompanies patients to medical appointments and assists with errands, including grocery shopping, to support daily needs and enhance quality of life.
• Assist with light housekeeping including laundry, vacuuming, etc. 
• Ensures patients have easily accessible meals and assists in meal preparation. 
• Monitors patients for changes in physical and mental health changes and communicates with the practice manager. 
• Maintain accurate records of client care, daily activities, and observations.
• Plan and engage in meaningful activities to encourage social interaction and mental stimulation.
• Collaborate with family members and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Additional job duties as assigned. 

Job Qualifications

• Experience in direct patient care. 
• CNA license or EMT license is beneficial but not necessary.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to do extensive bending, lifting, and standing on a regular basis. 
• Ability to pass an FSCR background check.
