Companion Care Aide Job Description
- Assists clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, and mobility.
- Accompanies patients to medical appointments and assists with errands, including grocery shopping, to support daily needs and enhance quality of life.
- Assist with light housekeeping including laundry, vacuuming, etc.
- Ensures patients have easily accessible meals and assists in meal preparation.
- Monitors patients for changes in physical and mental health changes and communicates with the practice manager.
- Maintain accurate records of client care, daily activities, and observations.
- Plan and engage in meaningful activities to encourage social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Collaborate with family members and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Additional job duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Experience in direct patient care.
- CNA license or EMT license is beneficial but not necessary.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to do extensive bending, lifting, and standing on a regular basis.
- Ability to pass an FSCR background check.
Job Type
