One of our clients was a very involved patron in a local festival, the True False Film Festival, that lasts four days. He had arranged so that during three of those days, his family would take him to the festival.
Opening night came and he was stressing about how he was going to make it. We worked together to create a plan of how I would be able to take him and help him attend this social function that he loved to do.
I was able to go to his home, pick him up in his vehicle, transport him to the venue, and due to his status, we were able to get right up to the front and use a wheelchair because we knew it was super crowded. We didn’t want to risk any injury to him.
We transferred a wheelchair and was able to take him to opening night, and enjoy the great festivities! Just seeing how bright his face was from interacting with people, was amazing.
This was something probably insurance couldn’t let you do with the company. It was really neat to have that realization of the things that we’re able to do outside of the insurance world.
