Meet Lacy, Care Navigator

Headshot of our new Care Navigator

Meet Lacy Rios

Lacy is one of our Care Navigators who has a deep love for working with older adults. During an undergraduate internship with a skilled nursing facility she quickly realized this is the population she was meant to serve.

Lacy worked for seven years in a nursing facility in long-term care coordination, short-term discharge coordination, admissions and eventually as the Interim Executive Director before finally parting to pursue her healthcare journey within the hospital systems in Columbia.

During this transition, Lacy recognized the need for more person-centered care and connection with older adults. From there she knew it was time to join Navigate Wellness. Lacy is passionate about Navigate’s ability to break through the silos within our healthcare systems and provide the opportunities and resources to work more holistically.

Co-Founder and Care Navigator, Janie knows what it’s like to work with Lacy and is so excited about her addition to the team.

“As I was leaving my last day at the nursing home, I turned and said to her, “I’m leaving to start this thing. I’m going to make it work, figure it out, then I’m coming for you. I want you to join me.”
She said “ok, I’ll be there!”
Fast forward to almost four years later and here she is.”
Like I tell folks with aging loved ones – it takes a team. We’ve built a team for us. We build teams for others. We’re in this together and it feels good!
